BoI customers targeted in multilingual phishing scam

The Bank of India has become one of the
latest fi nancial institutions to be targeted by
a large-scale online phishing scam. Internet
users have been receiving emails purporting
to be from a BoI customer service email
address use the usual tactic of informing
recepients that their accounts have been
suspended due to "suspicious activity"
and that they need to click a link and sign
in with their credentials to restore it.
The BoI mails are circulating in Hindi as
well as English. Links in the emails point
to fake websites hosted on compromised
domains, mostly compromised mail servers.
